I had just come home from the doctor's because I was suffering from a severe migrane headache. I was planning on going to go pick up a prescription from the pharmasy in a half hour later. Then I discovered that we had a blackout. I was upset because I knew I would have no relief for my migrane headache. The drug store closed down because of the blackout. They couldn't get into their computers. I've been sufferring with this headache for three days.

Why did the blackouts happen, in your opinion?
I've heard all kinds of stories from the news, but they say they haven't determined the cause.

What is your opinion regarding the general causes of power failures (blackouts)?

This is how the story goes: In November of 1965 the lights went out in New York and crime rates temporarily dropped; there were widespread reports of extraordinary cooperation and trust between strangers caught together in the power failure. In July of 1977, little more than a decade later, the lights went out again in New York. This time, a devastating wave of looting and arson broke out. Does this story ring true to you? Explain why or why not:
