Which blackout(s) did you experience?
Other (please specify)

In your own words, tell the story of your experience in the blackout(s). Try to recall specific events and the people, places, and things involved; also include more general reactions, images adn last impressions?
Was in my pool in Val d'Or, northwestern Quebec enjoying a hot beautiful August day. No Black out here (we are near enough of Hydro Quebec's La Grande Dams in the Baie James) and I understand that Quebec's power grid is relatively independant from the infamous Eastern Interconnection. Well, was strange that on a beautiful sunny day, power would disappear for so many people. Great to see New Yorkers calm and not loot their city as the Ottawa francophobic loyalist rampage their Capital.

May God bless us all.

Why did the blackouts happen, in your opinion?
To much reliance on these alternative current interconnections. Quebec exports or carries main lines with continuous current, tranferring back to alternative. Big is not better.

What is your opinion regarding the general causes of power failures (blackouts)?
Respect Mother nature

Did either blackout seem significant or shocking at the time?
Neither was significant

Did the blackout(s) have any larger meaning in your mind?

Did the blackout(s) cause any profound crisis?

How did the blackout(s) affect your daily reliance on electricity?
No effect / same reliance
